Haley Sharpe Design appointed to redevelop Wales’ most visited heritage attraction
St Fagans: National History Museum which is situated on the outskirts of Cardiff has appointed HSD as part of a wider team of consultants to help develop plans which will shape the future of this well-loved and much-visited site.
The project has been entitled ‘Making History' and its scope includes plans to redesign the current main entrance and extend and build more gallery spaces. The interpretative intention of the project is to extend the narrative timeline of the site to tell the stories of the people of Wales from the earliest human inhabitation to the present day.
Head of St Fagans: National History Museum, Bethan Lewis said:
"The appointment of a high calibre team of consultants of will allow us to drive the Making History project forward. Investing in St Fagans will create an exciting development at the heart of Welsh tourism that will benefit the whole of Wales."
Haley Sharpe is currently working with members of the Amgueddfa Cymru - National Museum Wales team, as well as representatives from Purcell Miller Tritton and Feildon Clegg Bradley (Project Architects) to develop initial interpretative design proposals.
