Arabian Wildlife Centre, Desert Park, Sharjah, UAE
The Centre was developed as the showcase for the Breeding Centre for Endangered Arabian Species. We decided to take an unusual interpretive-led approach to the presentation of living exhibits, incorporating a variety of interactive, audio-visual and three-dimensional interpretive media.
Our role was comprehensive, involving the master planning of the project, briefing of the architectural team, and development of realistic and environmentally correct habitats in conjunction with wildlife specialists.
As one of our acclaimed ground-breaking cultural projects in Sharjah, the centre was recognised as a major influence in the decision to appoint Sharjah as ‘The Cultural Capital of the Arab World'.
