Conoco Museum, Ponca City, Oklahoma, USA
These two new museums celebrate the heritage of the Conoco and Phillips Petroleum oil companies. We provided full interpretive planning, exhibit development and design coordination, working in close collaboration with the architectural, project management and ConocoPhillips archive teams.
Both museums utilise a range of exhibit media to tell the corporate, technological and personal stories of the two companies. Personal accounts and reminiscences of working for the two companies are woven throughout the museums. Archive film footage is also put to great effect in the varied IT and audio-visual programmes, exploring all aspects of company life.
‘Like everything ConocoPhillips does, we know these new facilities will be built and operated to the highest standards. They will be impressive enhancements to both cities, for education, tourism, and economic development.'
Brad Henry, Governor of Oklahoma
