Museum of Liverpool, UK
Haley Sharpe Design is Lead Exhibition Design Consultant for this new £65-million national museum, situated at the focal point of Liverpool’s historic waterfront. It will be a spectacular showcase for the long social history and rich popular culture of the city, drawing on collections of urban history, land transport, regional archaeology, costume, decorative arts, photography and archives. The new building by Danish Architects 3XN will be completed by 2008, with its galleries open to the public in 2010. Haley Sharpe Design will be responsible for delivering 50% of exhibition space (the ‘Global City’ and ‘Creative City’ galleries) whilst taking the lead on the remaining exhibition galleries being developed by two other exhibit design consultants.
