Crypt Foyer and Crypt Gallery, St Martin-in-the-Fields, London

St Martin-in-the-Fields is a vibrant church community situated in the centre of London, off Trafalgar Square. Some 700,000 people pass through its doors every year. An innovative architectural scheme has created new areas underground to enable the church to continue its work into the 21st century. We worked alongside the architectural and ecclesiastical teams to provide a series of interpretative displays which highlight both the history as well as the diversity of contemporary church life. Exhibits in the crypt foyer provide visitors with an introduction and orientation to all the church’s activities and features, whilst the crypt gallery exhibit components are arranged to allow for long-term flexible use of the space.
